KPWR(FM), LOS ANGELES, NEEDS A TEMPORARY CHIEF ENGINEER

Letter from Val Maki of Power FM follows:

Our Chief Engineer is out on recovery from pneumonia. His
doctor has recommended he be out for several weeks, let's say
four at this time. We do have a broadcast engineer who is RF
literate as a backup for issues at Emmis transmitter/tower sites.
However, we need someone who can be here on a regular basis - not
necessarily the equivalent of every day, 8 hours a day - but on
a fairly regular basis over the next four weeks.

The anticipated work is general maintenance issues here at
the studio and perhaps duties relating to phone lines, DGS system,
Scott System, etc. Can you help me? We will need someone who
is in LA. Our studios, as you may know, are in Burbank in the
valley. A perfect situation would be someone who is RF literate,
someone who is more a broadcast engineer than someone who knows
computers, and someone with close proximity to Mount Wilson and
Flint Peak. But I'm flexible.

I can be reached at 818-567-6205 and will be in all week.

  Thank you, Val, VMaki@power106.emmis.com

The bug did not vanish by itself.
