  UNLICENSED FM RADIO OPERATOR ARRESTED

Mr. Vladimir Petit-Frere has been arrested for operating an
unlicensed FM radio station on 88.5 MHz in Brooklyn, New York.
The Commission, on more than one occasion, had issued letters
of warning to Mr. Petit-Frere directing him to cease operation
of his unlicensed station, and at one time had even seized his
radio transmitting equipment.

OLD PHOTOS OF KCBH(FM), LOS ANGELES

Relax and enjoy a photographic journey back to the KCBH days
with another outstanding picture essay by Marvin Collins. It's
available at:

Many of you will remember the classical music giant KCBH,
98.7 MHz, Los Angeles. The station's self-supporting tower is
still on the Briarcrest site, and easy to spot atop the hills
which separate West Hollywood from the San Fernando Valley.
Today, the station is known as KYSR ("K-Star").

  ANTI-PERCHING DEVICES PICTURED

When I worked for a local government agency I was involved
with the condors. The L.A. Zoo let them out in the Los Padres
National Forest and asked that we install anti-perching devices.
The specific one we used was made by Nixalite. For more
information see:
