CLARIFICATION ON ROAD ACCESS TO MT. WILSON
In CGC #973, the CGC Communicator quoted a Michael J.
McIntyre (District Ranger) e-mail of November 21, 2009 that
read as follows:
"They" [CalTrans] "may have the Wrightwood access open
but there is no going past red box either way."
  In response, CGC commented that:
"This e-mail could mean that all access to Wilson will be
cut off for a period of time."
In reply to CGC's comment, Mr. McIntyre clarified his
position this morning by writing as follows:
"What I meant by my message is that there is no going down
canyon from Red Box. You can still hang a left (coming from
Wrightwood) at Red Box and go to Mt. Wilson...sorry for the
  confusion."
This is great news and CGC appreciates Mike's prompt response.
