  In CGC #973, the CGC Communicator quoted a Michael J.
McIntyre (District Ranger) e-mail of November 21, 2009 that
read as follows:
  "They" [CalTrans] "may have the Wrightwood access open
  but there is no going past red box either way."
  In response, CGC commented that:
  "This e-mail could mean that all access to Wilson will be
  cut off for a period of time."
  In reply to CGC's comment, Mr. McIntyre clarified his
position this morning by writing as follows:
  "What I meant by my message is that there is no going down
  canyon from Red Box.  You can still hang a left (coming from
  Wrightwood) at Red Box and go to Mt. Wilson...sorry for the
