Measuring FM Stereo Separation with an Oscilloscope

Separation = 20 times the log of Total Peak to Peak Voltage (typically 3.5 v P-P) divided by the residual peak-to-peak. For example: 20 log of 3.5v divided by .005v (5 millivolts) yields a stereo separation of better than 56.9 dB.
